MONTH OF OCTOBER 2008

:

WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH YOUR LIFE?  WHAT IS YOUR PURPOSE AND

YOUR GOALS?

This is all an opinion of the writer and not suggested for you if you disagree.  Let me first say that I am not where I want to be or need to be at this point in my life.  In my mind sometimes, I know what is right, but at times I wrestle with my flesh, yet I am determined to make my wrongs right and move on and not give up.  This is why I started allowing the following scriptures to condition my mind.  ( See Matthew 6:33; Philippians 2:5; 2 Timothy 2:15; Romans 10:8-11).  If you change the way you think to line up with God’s Word , it will change your lifestyle, your lifestyle will eventually change your destiny, then  you can expect a better future full of guaranteed promises.

DO NOT GIVE UP!

Do not ever give up on your dream or on your vision that God has placed in your heart.  When everyone is talking about you and putting you down and everything is going wrong, be strong and of good courage!  Hold your head up and know that God is able to complete the good work that he has begun in you.  No man can stand before you when God brings you through!     (See Philippians 1:6 ;Joshua 1:5 ).  ( See also 2 Timothy 1:7 )

A well-known man once made a statement, A man cannot ride your back, unless your back is bent, so you have to learn to stand up for what you believe in and for what you think is right.  Do not be discouraged when hard times come, which is to establish you and strengthen you.  The bible tells us, “Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you.”  If you hold on to your dream and your vision and wait for the promise, God will bring it to past.  (See Joshua 1:6-9; 1 Peter 4:12 ).

THINK ABOUT IT

What do you think will happen if two or more people that are suppose to be on the same team, family, or business has the same thing in common?  Tell me, What do you think could happen if they got on one accord, with a goal and a Godly plan, not moving from it, thinking not of themselves, but concerned about the goals and one another?  As long as they are trusting God and doing everything He says, without thinking about it, in time God will give them the victory.

Have you ever seen a group of ants working together?  If not, observe them and see how much they accomplish in a short period of

time. To see negative and positive effects,

( See Proverbs 14:1-9; Psalms 133; Genesis 11:6; Philippians 2:1-3 ).

BUILD ON WHAT STRENGTHENS YOU

Find out what points in your life will best strengthen you and build on them.  Do not think on your weaknesses, because you will be drawn to what you think on.  The bible says, “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he . . . ”  While you are building on these points, work on building each other up also and not tearing each other down.  ( See Romans 15:1-3; Proverbs 23:7; Philippians 4:8-9 ).

THE FOUR D’S

So, you say that you are working to build a good and better future? , Well then you need to make sure you are ready to deal with some of the  people that will come into your life.  If you are not able to stand, they will bring you down.  The devil has what he calls “The Four D’s in mind for you.  They are: 1.  Distract, 2.  Deceive, 3.  Divide, and 4.  Destroy.  This is why you need to stay in the Word, so that you will be ready for whatever comes.

Everyone is not for you and will not be working with you.  Some people came to distract, some came to deceive, and others came to divide and to destroy you!  Do not hate them. Some of them do not know they are being used by the devil.  See you have a Godly plan that they do not understand.  The bible teaches us that we are in a spiritual war, which takes place in our mind.  ( See Ephesians 6:10-18; Philippians 3:2; Mark 14:43-46 ).

KNOW YOUR SURROUNDINGS: PERSONAL

It is very important to me that I know the people that are close to me.  I want to know  when I am understood and appreciated.

Happiness and peace of mind are giving to people that appreciate your gift and put it to good use for themselves, their love ones, or God’s work.  When I give to someone that does not appreciate it or use it for negative use, it saddens me. (See  Matthew 25:14-29;

1 Thessalonians 5:12 )

WHAT IS IMPORTANT?

The only thing that is really important in life is the Word of God.  Not to say that every- thing else is not important, but it is  secondary.  Some things are a distraction.  Everything that you need to fulfill your purpose in life is in you, but you need to stir it up.  God gives you the vision and He also gives you the provision for the vision.  ( See

 Luke 6:46-49; 2 Timothy 1:5-6 ).

ACTIVATING YOUR FAITH

Believing and acting on a word that has been tested, checked out, and lines up with the Word of God is beneficial to ones life.  This is where faith comes in.  Faith is acting on what you say you believe and looking for a good return.  ( See James 1:21-25 ; Hebrews 11:1-2 ).

Another benefit to ones life is having an ear to hear a word of wisdom  and hear it in its entirety before responding or reading something into what the person is saying, before they are through speaking.  Once this is done, then ask questions to make sure you understand what they are saying. ( See James 1:26; Proverbs 4:7; ( See also

Revelations 2:29 )

CLARITY IN A RELATIONSHIP

Make sure you talk things over with people that are in your life, give them a chance to understand you as well as you understand them, before moving on excluding them from your team or your plans.  You do not have to stop loving them, or communicat- ing with them, but for the benefit of the relationship you may need to consider moving on with the project alone.  Keep in mind that they could come around so, continue to pray for them.  (See  Genesis 13:1-16 ).  Always be ready to forgive and forget the past and move on from old places.  If you do not forgive others, God will not forgive you.  (See Matthew 18:21-22; Matthew 6:14-15 ).

CHOICES YOU MAKE: WHO OR WHAT YOU KEEP IN YOUR LIFE OR WHAT YOU DISMISS

Whatever or whomever takes you away from your purpose and goals, is considered negative.  You need to decide what enter- tains you, because it will change your life- style and eventually your destiny.  Whatever or whomever helps you, adds to your purpose, helps you grow into fulfilling a Godly future, and celebrate you as an  individual, is considered positive, so em- brace it.  ( See Proverbs 14:12,13; Hosea 4:6 ; 1 John 2:15-23 ).

Do not get upset with someone if they have a flashlight shining on you in your dark place, which is also your comfort zone.         ( See Matthew 4: 16-17 ). Remember, the children of Israel were in Egypt in bondage and God led them out, using Moses.. So, use  the light to see if you are really in bondage or not, and need to come out.  ( See Exodus 13:17-18; Exodus 15: 22-24 ).

MAJOR  POINTS OF A VISION

It is important that you celebrate and support another man’s vision or give to his need.  If you do this, then God will give you a vision and a promise at a point in time and He will bring it to past, if you diligently obey His voice.  ( See James 2:14-21; Deuteronomy 28:1-2 ).

Write down the vision when God gives it to you by way of a dream or a thought.  If you do not write it down, you may not remember it such as He gave it to you.  What did the bible say?  “Write the vision, and make it plain upon the tables,...).  The bible also tells us that, ”whatever we put our hands to God will bless it.  Tell me, How can God bless your hands, if you do not know what to put your hands on?  (See Habakkuk 2:1-3; Deuteronomy 28:8 ).

HEALTH TIPS

Get regular checkups, exercise regularly, maintain a healthy diet, get a sufficient amount of rest and sleep.  Be around positive people that celebrate you and influences you growth. (Why? *See Your Doctor )

CHALLENGE

I challenge you to read your bible, pray, believe, act on it in faith on a regular and consistent bases, with an honest and clean heart, seeking to receive God’ spirit, and see if your life does not change over a period of time.  If it does not, see me.  I will repent for suggesting that you do it, and I just  may pay you ( joke) for the time that you spent praying and studying your bible, and then ask God to repent for suggesting, if anyone comes to Him, He will in no wise turn away.  ( See John 6:37 ).
